Where did August go?

Not that I am terribly sad to see it leave, I mean, earthquakes, hurricanes, and other more minor and personal things, but it did seem to go fast.

I am glad cooler weather is arriving.

I am not glad that more creative ideas for posting have not entered my brain lately, and I am sorry for that.

Hopefully the cooler weather will inspire me soon.

Give me my money.

It's never easy, is it? I have been waiting for money for my unemployment, and waiting, and finally found out it went to a card from years ago when I was laid off from Circuit City. So, of course I had to ask for a replacement card. And the bank had all of my old info, and didn't believe I was me at first.

I think I just have a problem with banks in general. Remember the bank who wouldn't cash my check because it had my nickname on it? No? That's okay, I forgive you.

So, now, a month and a half into my quest for a new job, I still have received no money. They owe me a month of pay at this point, and I haven't seen a penny. It's on the way though, at least some of it is. Monday at the latest after I paid a fee to expedite my card.

I think I will just start hiding cash under my bed or something. Well, obviously not there now that I told you, but cash will be king in the future. And I shall be it's queen. Wait, that didn't come out right at all, but you get the picture.

Some good news for a change.....

So yeah, uh, I was fired. Unfairly fired, but still fired. (A whole long post about that later when I'm up to it.)

Anyhow, despite being unfairly fired, and the ex employer knowing that, they still tried to lie and deny my unemployment. And they got caught at it, and lost their claim. I haven't seen any money yet, but just got the letter that said it was coming.

I can't believe they did that, wait, yes I can, they are shit heads.

Anyone know of a good job opportunity? Anywhere? Willing to move pretty much anywhere, especially if it's cooler. Summer with a broken AC really sucks.

1/2 year Resolutions

I always refuse to make new year's resolutions. why? because I usually break them, quickly. Or I get depressed when three weeks later I didn't lose 50 pounds.

However, this year, now that I have assessed how the first half of the year, I will be making 1/2 year resolutions for the rest of 2011.

1. I will be nicer. Not the fake nice I am to most people, but sincerely nice. Unless you're stupid, then the current policy stands.

2. I will write more on my blog. (let's see how that goes, but now you have in not only in written form, but as a resolution. consider it a written contract between me and you.)

3. I will stop telling stories of how stupid, ridiculous, etc. my ex was (and probably still is) as it no longer brings me the same satisfaction it used to. Plus, people are probably bored of hearing the stories anyway. *One exception, if I hear of something incredibly stupid that he's done that is new, I will still share.

4. I will find a job that I halfway like. and if i take one i don't halfway like, I will continue to look for a job and not just settle like I usually do. Oh, and the job shouldn't require a hat, unless it pays over 80k a year. then i will wear a hat again.

5. I willl stop falling for people half my age. I will from here on out, limit it to slightly more than half my age. (Hey I like my resolutions realistic.)

6. I will limit 1/2 year resolutions to only 5. I mean six. Yes, I kept one!!

Happy half new year everyone!!

Wow, how tme flies (Mostly)

Yes, time flies, except when you are unemployed, sitting at DMV, the hospital, or being forced to watch a Doogie Howser Marathon. Alright, Doogie is ok, but the others suck.

Long time no hear, no write, whatever.... I hope the two of you who still stop by are doing well. I have some time on my hands and will be trying to write more. I've been wanting to a long while, but my laptop often gets commandeered by my roomie to watch movies or download porn. Then of course, I have to make sure the porn doesn't have any viruses, so I end up watching it myself, and well.....

So, tune back in soon. Lots has happened at the former Shenaniganze job, some funny, some serious, some downright ridiculous, and some slanderous.

Bobby

The first post of 2011

And I really don't have much to impress you with. Still working the Shenaniganz gig, don't like it much, but it pays okay.

I think this year I am motivated to change some things up. Hope all is well with the three of you who still stop by.

One of the changes is I will be posting more this year. Let's see if I can keep that one up.

Huh. What should I do?

My ex, wants to be facebook friends after two years of being apart. Two years of no apologies for the shit I was put through.

I'm not sure if I should do it.

Or maybe this is just considered "moving on"?

Argh.

WTF? omg!

Really? All i want to do sometimes is stare into the sky and say, "really?!?"

I know, there are less fortunate people than me, and I know I have had some lucky breaks. Especially for some of the bad decisions made, and bad luck, things have turned out okay. But really?

*SIGH* I really think writing is good for me, and helps, and I will be trying to be more consistant, but i need a little while to sit and think, "really?"

Ok, done with all that crap, moving on, happy labor day. I will be laboring, but a short shift for a change, so let's party people.

Kate Gosselin should be neutered.

Or is it "Kate should be spayed"? I always forget what it is you do to dogs to keep them from procreating on national television. No the words, just which one is for male dogs, and which one is for bitches. (The dog term for "bitches", not the other one, chill out.)

Seriously, a reality dating show for Kate, who is airing a reality show with her kids at the monent? Enough is enough. Obviously her fan base isn't THAT great, or she would have lasted longer on that dancing show. So cut it out already.

Please.

Pretty please?

*Note: I really don't watch this stuff, just saw it on the news. Promise.

Ralph Machio is my hero.

You SOOOO gotta watch this. Make sure you click the Ralph Machio link, otherwise you might end up watching something I didn't like. And you wouldn't want that.

Favorite line of the month....

Aside from Brittany from Glee, who has some of the best one liners (I think my cat's been reading my diary), here is my favorite.

"My mom's condition has remainded relatively unchanged since she died five years
ago."
Courtesy of Straight Guy with Girly Dogs, whose link can be found to the right. I am always at a loss when people ask "What are you doing for Mother's Day?" or "Have you called your mom lately?" (To which I used to say, no, the seance is not until next week.)

I am hereby stealing Straight Guy's response. If people don't appreciate the humor, oh well.

This is my way of posting without really having to say something.

Flash Fiction Friday?

Long time readers will remember Flash Fiction Friday, where a sentence, or open ended sentence was posted on a Friday, and by Sunday, your mission was to write a short story with the sentence as the opener. You were then to post it to your blog, and then post a link to it on the Flash Fiction Friday blog.

It is gone now. (Unless someone can tell me otherwise.) I'm looking for another site, similar, or looking for people interested in starting one somewhere else.

I don't care so much for the rules. It could be Flash Fiction Tuesday. It could be "Write a story on Thursday". Whatever. I just thought it was a cool creative outlet, and it was fun seeing the widely different ways someone could take one sentence and run with it.

If you know where one exists, let me know.
If you would like to participate in a new one, let me know.
If you could care less, let me know, I still like to hear from you, and care about your feelings.
If you are hot and single, send me a pic and your phone number.

Updates on most things Bobby.....

Indulge me while I update the two of you on what's going on in different parts of my life:

Keepher, my dog/best friend: Doing well, enjoying walks, avoided being kidnapped by the ex twice now, and is happy and content.

My single life: Wow. After some of the sappy posts I made while with someone, (some of which didn't contain all of the reality at the time, since my ex read my blog), I am so much happier now being single. I'm not against another relationship (you know who you are, sexy) but for now, being happy being me.

Work: Going well again. And just recently applied for a big promotion, and found out that my proposal (which we had to write to be considered for an interview) was a big hit, and the interview is soon. It would be the kind of promotion that would make me consider staying with the company for a long time, whereas now, I think another year will max my patience out. I'll keep you posted, but it was nice getting some positive feedback for a change.

Home: I miss my brother (who lived here for 6 months or so), but I'm glad he's happy in California. Still considering moving there and getting a place together, depending on the job situation, and how he likes it there. Keepher is happy here, and it's a really good location. Close to the city (while not IN The city) and close to jumping on the interstate, to get to work, or pretty much wherever I want to go.

Family: reconnected with lots of family lately via facebook. While no big revelations or discussions have been had, it's good to see people are doing well.

Friends: Still working on getting some new friends. Or developing semi-friends into real friends. I have a few good ones though, and some good potentials, so all is well.

Ok, enough real posts, promise my next one will be funny or sarcastic, or just the usual Bobby non-sense.

Complaining doesn't always get you stuff....

I know a lot of people live by the theory that if they complain enough, and loudly enough, they will get what they want.

Last night, a woman tried it at my work a few minutes before i left. She was yelling, holding up other customers, etc. to get what she wanted.

Me, I have fun with this sort of thing. So after interjecting myself into the situation, she asked to see the policy i was referring to.

I replied, "I'm paid to the the policy. I don't need to go print it out for you."

She kept on, so I asked her to leave. Even more fun, I took the items she was trying to buy off the counter and said she wouldn't be getting those either, on top of the items she was trying to yell about.

She said she wasn't leaving so I told her she was now trespassing, and I would call the police. Most people fall for this as i start dialing my own cell phone number and acting like it was the police.

She did calm down though. She did leave. And she didn't get what she wanted.

That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I've returned

Ok, I said this before and it didn't work out. But I am back, i have returned, I have a lot of catching up to do with everyone, and catching up with new people, etc. I shall be around now, really. And now, I have to go for the night, but I just had to come and let you know I am planning on much more now. See ya'll really soon.

One quick work note, I was ocvering the register at Shenaniganz the other day when a customer asked for a pack of "Marlboro Light Capris". If you smoke, you know this is two different tyoe of cigerettes, marlboro lights, and capris. I asked what they wanted again, and I swear they said it again.

Finally, the enunciated, and said, I would like a pack of marlboro lights, PLEASE.

I am so used to people not saying thank you, or please, or even being minutely polite, that please totally translated into capris.

Sad, but true.

Everything Bytes

A post of total randomness that may get tied together at the end, or may not.

1. I frickin love my iphone. I will never be bored at Dmv, or anywhere again. Everyone should get one, now. Thanks.

2. Work is okay except my new manager doesn't like giving us our two days off in a row. So my days off are random, and never together. And my day off tomorrow consists of a two hour meeting right in the middle of being off. Seriously disrupting my drinking time.

3. You never know how much you love hot water until you don't have it. Co0ld showers suck. And no matter how much you try to grin and bear it, ice cold water is painful.

4. Apartment hunting with "questionable" credit is difficuly. Thanks to my ex for helping assist me in ruining my credit.

5. Thank you life for letting me get a new number when I got my iphone, as my ex now no longer has my number. Peace and quiet at last.

6. People are in general stupid. No story, just that.

7. Stopping on number seven. I have some OCD and hate odd numbers, (I can't stop reading a book on an odd numbered page, don't ask...) but seven is okay. I think because my birthday is on the seventh.

h. Yes, h. Because I hate formality and rules.

i. More later, meeting a casting director from the real world. No, not auditioning, apparently I am slightly older than their age limit. Just to chat.

Hhmmmm......

My straight brother is working at a gay bar. I find this quite amusing. But hey. Money is money. The transfer to a busier store is going well. I have been yelled at, kicked more people out, and had to call the police more rimes in a month than my whole year at my last store.

So how is everyone?

Facebook, transfers, and crap

If you briefly saw a facebook "badge" here with someone coincidentally named Bobby, it was just a weird strange glitch. Not me at All. But who ever it was sure was a handsome fellow.

They transferred me to a much larger and busier store at work. Without asking and without a significant raise. It will be ok and apparently the store has way more drama and weirdos than my old store so more stories.

I finally catching up on your blogs so things are almost back to normal. Kinda. Sorta. Maybe.

More Shenaniganz

Customer: Are you all hiring?

Employee: Sure. We're looking for overnight shift especially.

Customer: Oh, I can't do that. I can't work weekends, or past 9pm, or earlier than noon. And I would like to be a manager.

Employee wishes the manager job that only works noon to 9pm with no weekends was available, as they would apply for it themself. Employee then tries to think what to tell the person....

Customer: "Oh, and you all don't drug test, do you?"

Employee: I just remembered, we're not hiring right now.

Customer: OK, just ring up my beer, lottery tickets, and this month's issue of Jugs then.

so is anyone looking for a job? I have met so many people I would like to work with on blogger but not in real life. Sigh.

Xmsgs

So a short MSG here and then to my ex is going to appear here, called xmsgs. The mags won't always make sense to all and don't feel obliged to read them, but this weeks' MSG is....

I have my dog and u r not gettin him. Ever. And u r a loser who owes me money and my stuff

Ok I feel better people. Be back soon.
