Bobby A-Z

[A is for age:]
"A" is for asshole for asking that question. I am 29, dammit. Don't question me.

[B is for booze of choice]
B is also for Bourbon, which if you didn't guess by now, you must be new to my blog.

[C is for career]
HR. Which as Patsy pointed out, is one of the blogger career of choice. Although she hasn't been posting much lately. Maybe she changed professions?

[D is for your dog's name:]
Keepher. (And not after the actor, but I can't explain why he's named Keepher without getting myself into trouble.)

[E is for essential items you use everyday:]
*See "B"

[F is for favorite song at the moment:]
"Let's talk about me" Yes, it's a country song, but once in a while, a cowboy comes in handy.

[G is for favorite games:]
Games? Uh, Tetris is still the favorite time waster of choice. Maybe Bejeweled. Which got a friend of mine fired. Really. She's a stupid girl.

[H is for hometown:]
I consider Austin my hometown, even tho I am not there now. And even tho Real World made it look stupid. Thanks MTV.

[I is for instruments you play:]
Trombone in 6th grade. I have some other comments, but I am assuming they meant musical instruments.....

[J is for jam or jelly you like]
Strawberry. Grape if strawberry is not available for some reason.

[K is for kids?:]
Nope. I had some kid responsibility when I was way too young (not mine) and now I have too much fun taking care of myself. And Justin. He's way younger than me, so that counts, right?

[L is for last kiss?:]
I hate mushy questions. I did kiss some major ass this week, and it's paying off people.

[M is for most admired trait:]
A Saint. (Due to my easy going nature, where people think I am very concerned and interested in their problems, and then I blog about them here.)

[N is for name of your crush:]
Orange all the way. Orange Crush is the best drink ever. Vodka and red bull. You can't beat an energetic drunk.

[O is for overnight hospital stays:]
Just one for me. About 8 for Justin.

[P is for phobias:]
Spiders, due to a brown recluse bite that almost killed me. Justin punched me out and took me to the hospital. (I was hallucinating at that point, so I forgave him.)

[Q is for quotes you like:]
"Wherever you go, there you are." - Buckaroo Banzai. A movie fading into history, as the younguns nowadays haven't even heard of it.

[R is for biggest regret:]
Hitting on my best friend when I was younger. And oh boy is there a blog entry waiting to happen someday.... someday. I tried visiting his parent's house last time I was there, and, uh, the whole house was just, gone. Gone. I even google street mapped it, it's gone.

[S is for sweets of your choice:]
I don't do a lot of sweets since the big weight loss of 98, but a three musketeers bar or a brownie once in a while hits the spot.

[T is for time you wake up:]
6AM-ish. 8 to 9am on the weekends, sometimes to just do a shot of bourbon and go back to bed. (Hey, it helps the hangover, really.)

[U is for underwear:]
Yes. Sexy underwear. Mostly boxer briefs, they display nicely, and regular boxer are just too loose.

[V is for vegetable you love:]
Green beans, and as picky as I am, I actually like brocoli.

[W is for worst habit:]
Some of you would say smoking. Or drinking. I say it's being too damn nice. Shut up.

[X is for x-rays you've had:]
This could have been a more interesting question abour exes, but I once had an Xray of a private part. It wasn't official or anything, I was dating a med student at the time. Oh, and a chiropractor once told me to drop my pants a "little", and when he tried to X-ray, he didn't like how far I had dropped my pants, so he came over and pulled them down himself. Uncomfortable as hell.

[Y is for yummy food you make:]
I really don't cook. That's why I am with a culinary arts graduate. :)

[Z is for zodiac sign:]
Capricorn. They are supposed to be well organized. Heh. But interesting enough, Justin has the same sign as his dad, and I have the same sign as his mom. HHHmmm.... And we have that tattood, but if we ever break up, it looks like a Chinese symbol, so I will just say it means "Good fortune" or something, unless I am talking to a Chinese person.

Today's list was brought to you by the extreme lack of writers block on bobby's part.

A bit egotistical, perhaps?

Is it a little self indulgent to read some of your old posts? Seriously, I was looking for some of my old friends that used to be around and comment, and a lot of them have moved on, closed down shop, or just left their blogs at a standstill.

Then I started actually READING some of my old posts and comments. Some of you are funny as hell with your comments.

Back when the thing went around where you were supposed to type your name into google with "Needs" after it, and google would tell you what you needed, I found a list I had done. But one, just one, actually made me laugh out loud.

Bobby's needs are pretty basic: He sleeps, eats, cries, poops, and gazes uncomprehendingly at the world around him. If you edited "eats" to "eats and drinks bourbon", that would be the name of my autobiography. I know it's a long title, but it has a certain ring to it.

It may still end up being the name of my autobiography. I just need one or two more life altering, adventure filled, celebrity enhanced events to happen to me and I've got enough for a book.

Back the my question though, I think it is refreshing to read your old posts, it can remind you of good times, bads times, things you've forgotten, and it can also show you much your writing has improved, or deteriorated in some cases. In a few weeks, when we end up moving to a place here in town, I may be without internet access, but in the meantime, while job hunting, house hunting, and building a website for Justin's boss (I'm getting paid for it, dont worry), I will try to crank out some stuff of interest.

For those who are tired of my whining.....

Please move on if you are tired of hearing of my whining about a job. And yes, I have now lowered my standards and I am looking for any job pretty much that pays something, but even those people say I am over qualified and won't stay.
Argh. I do have something in the works, something I am not sure I am qualified for, but that I convinced the hiring manager I was, so as soon as my background check clears (it will), I have a final interview in a few days. It is not the perfect job, but is actually the highest paying job I have applied for. (I am qualified for it, just haven't really done the exact job before.) It is a few more hours than I am used to, and it would mean being on call pretty much 24/7, but as the old saying goes, "It's always easier to find a job when you already have one." which is a pretty stupid saying if you ask me.
Otherwise, Justin was in and out of the hospital again, same issue, apparently what he had can become chronic after a while, or totally go away at any time, never to return.
Life is wonderful, life is great, I am going to get that job, or a job this week. I can't really write well right now, or write about some of the funny stuff going on, as I am consumed by jobs, job hunting, tweaking my resume, etc. but hopefully all of that will change soon.

Job Hunting sucks.....

I have a good resume. I have good experience. I'm outside of a major metropoloitan area. What's going on?

I've been on the other side of the hiring business as well, and I know people can get busy, and hiring isn't always the top priority. I also realize that you lose a lot of good people by not acting fast, because someone else will hire them. (Hint hint, people, I'll be snapped up soon, HIRE ME!)

Anway, Justin's working at least, and we have a lead on an apartment (the mayor's wife gave up the tip, we're hanging out with some classy people now.) I am starting my search for a not so great (re: crappy) job today, just to bring in some money while I continue to job hunt for a job I am used to and pays a little better.
And just so everyone knows, I did NOT move here because I am closer to cheap cigarettes and better bourbon (and cheaper). I have to keep re-stating this fact, and yes, I have probably smoked more and definately drank more since I have been here, but it's a pure coincidence. Promise.

I'm usually nice, but sometimes...

My new feature, "I'm usually nice, but...."

It's time for my new feature, I am usually nice, but sometimes......

I am usually nice, but sometimes, people just tick me off so bad, that I just have to say something, and boy, are you in for a doozy. First off, This is me to the left, you can see how nice and sweet I am, so I don't say things unless they are true and totally accurate. Second, the remainder of what I am going to write is true, allegedly. (If you look up the public records, you will see they are true, but, I am going to stick with allegedly.)

So, a lot of people are wanting to know exactly what happened. This post is to just clarify the last post, so read the last one, or move on, whatever.
The mugshot of my sister in law isnt the greatest, so here you go, a pic she willingly posted on myspace. She is a nice lookiing woman, and I can see a 17 year old boy finding it attrative, but on the other side, couldn't she find someone a little more her age? But anyway, she was fine, got caught by someone you will see in a minute, really, I am divulging all today, and I just had a great thought, let's include the guy she's cheating on now with her current boyfriend, he's in a band, and will accept your friend request (assuming you're on MySpace) with no questions asked.

let's move on. So, you're a 37 year old woman, unhappy in your marriage, but unsure what to do. You meet a 16 year old cheerleading boy, who loooks something like this in his outfits.

So far, everyone I've talked to has thought he was gay, (which may be why he decided to have sex with a 37 year old ((allegedly)), although court records might make the allegedly irrelevant. So my sis in law, (picured above) allegedly had "relations" with the gay/straight boy/man, and all was well. (In their world, anyway, the rest of us were suffering, worrying about what would happen to sis in law's kids, house, career, etc.)

We briefly had a "Ban the Bulldog" campaign, but the sis in law's lawyer advised against it. But tell mecompare the next 2 pics, and tell me. (We hace better pic of her being a bulldog, but it is stuck in the camera...... (that's the boy/man kissing his mom.....)

and this is the bulldog pic I found that looked like her......

So, thats what happened. Except, sis in law and soon to be ex bro in law are still having issues, and we are still getting blamed for them. Uh, you really have to blame two people over 1000 miles away, when sis in law in cheating on the guy she is seeing now (oops, I didn't mention that, sorry.) and she needs (and the family needs) some therapy.
But I guess she and the boyfriend can keep blaming us, whaetever makes them happy, but I won't take anymore phone calls from family members (which prompted my post tonight) trying to get an explanation for something she did. SHE did it. SHE messed her life up. And SHE messed up a lot of other lives. All we did was try to help and watch the kids, pay some bills, and get things back on track. It doesn't always pay to be nice, people.
Thus, the first of my new series, I'm usually nice, but....

ok, the trial thing....

So a while back, (no, scroll down, I will not insert a link here, I am too lazy) I mentioned some of you may have seen me on the news, saying "no comment" about 5 times. The funny thing was, the reporter from the local news started to introduce himself, and I said, in a totally sarcastic voice,

"I know who you are. Big fan."

I ended up being featured in the news stations commercials, with some fast paced music playing, and me saying just "BIg Fan", and so many people saw it, argh.

Anyway, if you want to know what it was all about, click here. The woman in the mugshot is my sister in law. I may post the pic of the "man/boy" as well, since he is over 18 now and all, but who knows?

We made it back to Louisville, (right outside of it anyway) with only a tornado and thunderstorm warning to drive through, and are now job hunting at my Aunt's house.

Seriously, click the link, read the comments, they're funny. And I have better pics of her if we debate how "hot" she may be. (She's cute, but not super hot or anything.)

Oh, and sis in law, if you're readin this, your welcome for everything, thanks for telling me thank you, and thank you for being such a.... anyway, things are well and job hunting already, wish us luck everyone.
