Bad news, man. Don't do it. It's a way for him to show you how well he's doing and getting to peep into your world to see what you're up to. And if you have any inklings of feelings (anger, sadness, loneliness, jealousy, etc.) still, you will only be hurt by it. Save yourself. Don't let him in. Even if you friend and block, you still get to see his world, which might not be something you want to see sometimes.
That said, would it be creepy to ask if we should be FB friends? :D
